Travel – Lake Lucerne (Luzern) Switzerland
Driving towards Luserne, this was our first peek at the Swiss Alps
in Summer.

How chocolate box is the scenery?
And have I mentioned how great the chocolate is?
Here’s an old apple tree and a traditional Farm house on our way to
Mt Stanserhorn.

After a picturesque funicular and cable car ride we arrived
at the restaurant on Mt Stanserhorn.

After going out on the observation deck, we followed the trail
up to the summit. The sounds of the cow bells added to the
magic of the afternoon.

This is the famous Dying Lion of Lucerne monument.
It was built in the 1820’s by Bertel Thorvaldsen to honour
the 700 Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution.

Exquisite wrought iron balustrade on one of Lucernes
seven bridges built across the Reuss River, in the heart of the city.
